A fire destroyed the barn and indoor arena at Dutch Mills Farm in Arlington, Wash., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, claiming the lives of six horses and injuring four others.

Jason Roberts awoke around 2 a.m. on to find his family-owned English riding and training facility alight. He ran into the 12-stall barn to save as many horses as possible with the help of his wife, Helga, who is the farm’s head trainer, and her father.
