A barn fire at Brookwood Equestrian Center in Bishop, Ga., killed 18 horses early Jan. 31. The farm was owned by King and Melanie Howington.
“The fire department got there very quickly, but the whole barn was a complete loss—and 18 horses,” King told the Athens Banner-Herald. “These horses are very dear to us and the owners.”
