Debbie Miller Atkinson, successful and passionate event rider, died Sept. 30 in Nashville, Tenn. Ms. Atkinson suffered an eventing accident on Sept. 2, 2006, and sustained a spinal cord injury that left her quadriplegic. After her accident, Ms. Atkinson dedicated her energy and support to the Equestrian Aid Foundation, which helped with her assisted care for the past two years.
