The British show jumping ownership group Team Murka will stand a clone of Gem Twist at stud in Great Britain starting in 2013.
The clone foal, named Murka’s Gem, was born in the United States in 2011 through the French genetic bank Cryozootech and the agreement of the Chapot family. He is the second horse to be cloned from the world-famous Thoroughbred show jumper Gem Twist (Good Twist—Coldly Noble), who died in 2006. Gemini, the first clone, was born in 2008 and currently stands at Frank, Mary and Laura Chapot’s Chado Farm (N.J.).
