At the Verizon Center Michael Hughes nailed all three rounds to win the Washington International Horse Show Equitation Finals.
He wins his second junior hunter title at Washington.

“Usually you don’t think of Todd Minikus as the first phone call you’re going to make when you’re looking for someone to ride your show hunters.” But Susan Wagner tapped him to ride LPF Woodford at Washington, which paid off with the reserve high performance hunter title.
They’ve been fourth once and third twice, but somehow the $10,000 Washington International Horse Show Adult Amateur Hunter Championship title has always eluded Laurie Barna and Laguna—until this year.
