Virginia Intermont College announced July 12 a new organizational structure for its equestrian program. Effective immediately, longtime associate professor and coach Lisa Moosmueller-Terry will assume the position of head riding coach and director of the Equestrian Center.

Eddie Federwisch, director of equine studies and riding at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Va., announced June 24 that he is leaving the college. He will direct the equestrian program at the Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.) beginning in early August.

Federwisch did not respond to repeated requests for comment about his departure, and Virginia Intermont has not named a replacement as of press time.

In 2012 Cori Reich traveled to the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships to compete for the U.S. Equestrian Federation/Cacchione Cup, but it wasn’t her year.

St. Lawrence University (N.Y.) increased their lead in the second day of team competition at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships. With a current lead of seven points over Skidmore College (N.Y.), St. Lawrence will end the competition as either champion or reserve for the Collegiate Cup.
