The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association announced on June 4 that the 42nd IHSA National Horse Show will be held April 30-May 3, 2015, at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass.
The last time the IHSA Nationals were held in West Springfield was in 2007. Since then, the facility has undergone some improvements including a new show office, covered warm-up ring, and in-gate access between the main barn and arena.
On May 15 the Andrews Osborne Academy, located in Willoughby, Ohio, announced that it will discontinue its riding program and convert the existing equestrian facilities into an indoor athletic facility as of June 30.
The news came as a shock to many of the equestrian program’s alumni, and the school’s interscholastic riding team, which was away competing at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Hunt Seat National Finals in West Springfield, Mass.
A merger between Virginia Intermont College and Webber International University (Fla.) has fallen through as of April 15, and the school’s future is now uncertain.

“Well if you can’t do it at the canter, and you can’t do it at the trot, we go back to the walk and do it there.”
Three years ago, Krista Spencer was a training level dressage rider, and Take Over was a university-owned Grand Prix schoolmaster with a bolting problem who wouldn’t pass a vet check. Now? They’re a definite team, with a trip to the Adequan North American Junior and Young Rider Championships (Ky.) and a recent USDF/GAIG Regional Championship FEI Young Rider title to their names.
