Lexington, Ky.—Oct. 9
The stage is set for tonight's show jumping final four, and it should be an interesting night, indeed. Four riders from very different parts of the world, on four horses with very different styles, prevailed over five rounds of jumping to qualify to jump for individual medals in the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
Lexington, Ky.—Oct. 6
The U.S. team got off to a remarkably good start in the show jumping competition at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games when Mario Deslauriers and McLain Ward placed first and second in the speed leg and put the team in first. Their case of four-faultitis dropped them to third, but still within striking distance for a medal.
But tonight, it all fell apart.
Lexington, Ky.—Oct. 6
With the scores as tight as they were going into the team final for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games show jumping gold, there was no room for error. And Germany made no errors, putting three clean rounds on the books to clinch the title.

Mario Deslauriers jumped to the top of the leaderboard aboard Urico for the United States at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games at the halfway point of Round 1. He led a blazing clear speed round to stop the clock almost 2 seconds faster than Hungarian Sándor Szász. Rodrigo Pessoa lies third for Brazil aboard HH Rebozo, and his former teammate, who now rides for the Ukraine, Billy Birr and Cassio Rivetti, jumped clear to lay fourth.
