Canadian Jaimey Irwin is headed to Sweden for his first World Cup Final and shared his preparation and expectations with the Chronicle.

The FEI Bureau has this week withdrawn the hosting rights for the FEI World Cup™ Jumping and Dressage Finals in 2015 from Guadalajara (Mexico). The organizers have been unable to meet in full the requirements imposed by the FEI Bureau when the Finals were allocated to Guadalajara at its meeting in June of 2012.

After a review by the Fédération Equestre Internationale, Shawna Harding’s score for the 2012 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Final Grand Prix (the Netherlands) was changed to 68.48 percent to reflect that she entered the arena on time.

Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen came into the 2012 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage Final as the hot favorite. Her mount, Jerich Parzival, easily won last year’s Final. But at yesterday’s veterinary inspection Parzival’s chance to win the 2012 title was called into question when he was held for unsoundness.
