Now all that’s left to do for Eveready is to wrap him in “lots of bubble wrap!” Barb Crabo joked after they won the CIC*** Adequan USEA Gold Cup at Galway Downs.

Crabo and Eveready are scheduled to give it a go at their third try at the Rolex Kentucky CCI**** in a month’s time, and the CIC at Galway Downs was their final prep run.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Hawley Bennett-Awad walked into the main ring at Galway Downs for the final time on her four-star veteran Livingstone.
Buck Davidson traveled a long way from his home base in Riegelsville, Pa., to Galway Downs, and he made sure to make it count by holding onto the lead in the CCI*** with Petite Flower.
A month ago, Liz Halliday-Sharp would never have imagined she would have a horse competing at Galway Downs. Now, 14 years later, she’s back at her old hometown event with HHS Cooley, who’s contesting his first CCI***.
Buck Davidson has an up and down day on cross-country.
