“I was really hoping to make this day memorable since it’s my last day on the ponies,” said Sophie Gochman as she and her sister Mimi bid goodbye to their pony careers.
“I’ve been second a couple times but I’ve never won it which makes you a bit hungry for it,” said Lauren Hough after her first win in $130,000 Longines FEI World Cup CSI-W.

She’s been third. She’s been second. And this year Hunter Holloway finally led the victory gallop for the Washington International Horse Show Equitation Final.

Holloway led the class from start to finish ,winning all three rounds to win over Madison Goetzmann, with Lucy Deslauriers slipping from second to third after the work-off.

“We push each other and try to put one/two finish so that a tie for champion was even better," said Madison Goetzmann after she and barnmate Katherine Strauss tied for the high junior/amateur-owner jumper championship.
It's Barn Night at the Washington International Horse Show, which means Shetlands steeplechasing and Olympians in costumes.
