The Fédération Equestre Internationale recently released an updated list of yellow card warnings for events held last month, and two yellow cards and a verbal warning were handed out at the Virginia Horse Trials, held May 26-29 in Lexington, Va.

Buck Davidson received a yellow card for “dangerous riding/out of control” in the CIC** on Be Mine, and Caroline Sullivan received one in the CCI* on The Bond Boy for “dangerous riding/continuing after three refusals."

Tina Konyot was issued a Fédération Equestre Internationale yellow card citing "incorrect behavior" for using profanity at the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in Lexington, Ky., on July 14.

Konyot was coaching Chloe Taylor on Konyot’s former Olympic and World Games ride Calecto V in the Junior division at NAJYRC. “I absolutely accept my yellow card for profanity,” Konyot said. “And I would do it again.” 

Peter Barry received a Fédération Equestre Internationale yellow card and Kelli Temple a verbal warning at the Jaguar Land Rover Bromont Three-Day Event, held June 4-7 in Quebec. 

In the CIC**, Barry was given a yellow card on Long Island T for “dangerous riding/jumping a fence of a higher level.” Barry, a Canadian amateur, jumped a three-star fence accidentally. 

Liz Riley, who had horses competing in the CCI*** and CCI** at the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event, received a yellow card from the ground jury for leaving whip marks on both mounts at the conclusion of cross-country.

Jersey Fresh was held May 6-10 in Allentown, N.J., and Riley finished 18th in the two-star with Renaissance. She withdrew It’s The Truth from the three-star before show jumping.

Headed towards home on the CIC*** cross-country course at The Fork (N.C.) on April 4, Tamra Smith and Twizted Syster picked up a run-out when Smith lost steering with the mare. At the end of her course, Smith was stopped by the ground jury and given a Fédération Equestre International yellow card for her lack of control.
